An Easy And Delicious Beef Stew Recipe For Winter

Yikes! Those winter nights are getting mighty cold! You can fight them off, though, if you have the right methods at your disposal. Sure, a nice warm blanket and a roaring fire go a long way towards keeping you toasty, but those work from your outside in. Sometimes, you really need something warm and comforting to heat you up from the inside out.

There are many types of refreshments popular during the winter holidays: hot toddies, mince pies, egg nog, roasted ham, turkey or fish¦the list goes on. What could be more fitting to warm the body and soul on a cold winter’s evening, though, than a steaming bowl of delicious beef stew? Just follow this fast and simple recipe and before you know it, you’ll forget all about the cold weather outside your window.

Ingredients you’ll need:

1 pound stew beef

1 tablespoon flour

1 medium onion (chopped)

1 package beef stew seasoning

3 cups water

5 medium potatoes (cubed)

6 carrots (peeled and sliced)

1 tablespoon parsley flakes

2 cloves garlic (chopped)

Tablespoon cooking oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking guidelines:

  1. Flour the meat
  2. Heat cooking oil in a stew pot, then add stew meat, onions and garlic, and brown
  3. Add water and beef stew seasoning
  4. Add potatoes, carrots, salt, pepper and parsley flakes
  5. Cook over medium heat for approximately 1 hour, stirring often
