what is the approx value of an old coffee type table with inlaid leather and copper?
the table has large leather area inlaid into the top. the table can expand by pulling the ends apart. when expanded, there is a center section that fit between, with a copper pan about the size of a rectangular cookie sheet/pan used to bake cookies. the legs arch out: there are a total of 8 legs that separate when the table is extended. each leg has a small caster on it. the wood is dark and all solid, put together with large flat headed screws. i dont notice any unusal joint techniques. any idea of the age and value of this piece? thanks for any help.
Value is defined as what someone is willing to pay for something. To me your table would be worth nothing. To someone else it may be worth hundreds.
It sounds like it’s probably antique. I’d get an antique furniture apraisal book and start there.
