• Clean up the clutter. You’ll be surprised at how much space this frees up.  If you have a computer in the kitchen area, put the tower under the desk and the printer in a cabinet overhead.

• Thoroughly clean your cabinets. • New curtains are a way to change the look in a kitchen and making this change is also very inexpensive.  The color should compliment the color you’ve chosen for your accessories. If you have a dark print or plaid or stripe now, then make your change to a much lighter and brighter shade. A linen look with a border that compliments the primary color of your accessories or a white or light background with a fruit or vegetable print border that, again, picks up the main color in your accessories are a couple of ideas that can give a fresh new look to your kitchen. 

• A decorative pot hanger is another way to change the look of a kitchen.  It adds a designer touch to your surroundings.  It also is a great way to free up storage space.

• One way to give your kitchen décor a new look is with a decorative wall clock or kitchen oriented wall plaques.  Pick things that are in keeping with your interests that are also kitchen/dinning oriented.

Any or all of these ideas can be accomplished with a minimum amount of effort.  They will certainly give you a new looking kitchen without breaking the bank or even breaking a fingernail.
